Engineering Technician

Engineering Technician:
The contractor shall provide Engineering Technician(s) to support the O&M Division.
To be acceptable, they must possess a High School graduation degree and successful completion of 1 year of post-secondary study that included at least 12 semester hours in any combination of courses such as engineering, industrial technology, construction, drafting, surveying, or mathematics; or a combination of experience and education to meet the total requirement.
The position requires specialized experience in the following:
Knowledge of cost estimating procedures, necessary to develop project budgets.
Proficiency in developing performance work statements for the maintenance and repair of building systems and sustainment of facilities to be out-sourced or performed by in-house staff.
Proficiency with using templates and fillable forms to input vital information and justifications for service contract requirements.
Knowledge of developing schedules for minor construction and preventative maintenance based upon manufacturer s recommendations, army regulations, building codes and UFC requirements.
Knowledge and experience performing services relative to interior spaces, space planning and aesthetics, using knowledge of interior construction, building systems and components, building codes, equipment, materials and furnishings in order to enhance and protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
Knowledge and experience in drawings and / or sketches for required design intent documents, eg, demolition/renovation plans, building system plans, etc.
; space planning, equipment layout, construction sequencing, developing material estimates and specifications; reading and interpreting basic engineering drawings.
Knowledge of MSWord, MS Excel and Powerpoint.
Job Requirements:
Project Development:
The contractor shall provide on-site technical development of minor construction documents for the Chief, Operations and Maintenance Division (O&M) for Installation sustainment, revitalization or modernization of facilities by performing all necessary tasks to develop construction contracts for execution.
The Contractor shall conduct investigations, walkthroughs and surveys to produce design and engineering documentation for each project to meet the deadlines set by the COR.
The contractor shall provide input to support and validate requests for new projects, including review of statements of work for accuracy.
The Contractor shall perform all necessary research to develop complete biddable construction documents for architectural, mechanical, electrical, fire, and controls features of buildings and facilities.
Research may take the form of historical document research, field measurements and observations, online searches and review of materials and trends.
The Contractor shall develop a Statement of Work (SOW) and / or specifications using the Unified Facilities Format (WWW.
wbdg.
org/UFGS) for the design requirements of the specific facilities engineering requests (Form 4283) The contractor shall develop a schedule for the required period of construction, a cost estimate to include all features of work, submittal registers and other requirements to ensure a complete and usable product.
The Contractor shall compile all necessary supporting technical exhibits for a complete biddable solicitation package.

Contractor shall attend meetings as required by the O&M Division Chief and provide biweekly status reports of facility projects in the planning stages, see Attachment 3 for an example of the required information.
All documents shall be filed electronically on the office server.
The Contractor shall schedule meetings, take meeting minutes, track project budget, and attend contractor meetings as needed.
The Contractor shall support project close-out activities including review, compilation, and tracking of project documents and punch list items.
This includes scanning and filing hard copies as necessary.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
